About MCN-TV What is MCN-TV? MCN-TV is an exciting new service from MCN, Motorcycle News. It gives you unlimited access to hundreds of hours of video content; from films, documentaries and popular series to fascinating archive footage and bike reviews - in short it is ALL about bikes ALL of the time.

And as well as stunning video, you?ll have 24/7 access to exclusive real-time commentary, putting the films in context and giving you the all important Inside line on the footage. Commentary comes from our world leading editorial team and those close to the action including directors, producers and even the stars themselves. How much content is there on the site? We have over a hundred hours of programming already and we're adding new content all the time. New shows, films, documentaries and reviews are added week in-week out. Are the programmes available all the time? Most programmes will be available for at least a year. In some cases we might only be able to license a programme for a shorter period of time - say a month or even a weekend. In that instance we'll let you know well in advance so you get time to watch it. Isn't everything already on Youtube? No. Our content is full length, legally licensed and delivered to you by experts. We have all the best sports, adventure and technical programmes and a growing community of experts and like-minded people commentating and guiding your watching. Who are Screen Library? Screen Library work in partnership with Bauer Media, publishers of MCN, to deliver MCN-TV. They provide the technology platform and the licensed content to power MCN-TV, whilst the editorial is brought to you from the editorial team at MCN.
Technical Requirements How do I access MCN-TV? You can watch MCN-TV on any device connected to the internet, you can use airplay from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to send the videos to your big screen with an apple TV, you can watch on any smart phone or tablet and you can watch on your laptop or PC. You connect to us by going to www.mcn-tv.com using any browser. Do I need broadband / 3G to play the video? Yes, though a standard broadband or 3G connection will give you a good result. Similar to the BBC iPlayer, our video is streamed at 600 kbps so looks good on a standard computer screen, iPad etc. Can I use any browser? Yes, our video player is built using technology that is compliant with any browser so feel free to access us via Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera or Internet explorer. We find that the site works best using Chrome or Firefox so try and use one of those if you can. Does it work on tablets or smart phones? Yes. The site and video player works well on iPads, iPhones, tablets and smart phones. Our player supports both Flash and HTML5 but to check that you are able to use our service try watching a trailer on our home page. Is there an App I can download? Not yet but you can add our bookmark to the homescreen of you iPad, iPhone or Pod Touch. We are currently developing a dedicated app so check back for news soon. Do I need a TV License to watch MCN-TV? No, a TV license is to allow you to watch Broadcast TV. All our content is fully licensed for our subscribers so you do not need a TV license.
All about subscriptions How much does MCN-TV cost? A subscription to MCN-TV is just £3.99 per month, and gives you unlimited access to all the best motorcycling films, TV shows and documentaries. What payment methods do you accept? We accept any credit or debit card (other than American Express). Payment is by a recurring monthly subscription, so you only have to enter your details once and our secure payment partners, MPP Global, take care of the monthly payments. MPP Global are fully PCI compliant. MCN or our partners Screen Library do not hold any credit card information. How do I cancel my Subscription? Simply go to My Account and click "Cancel my subscription". We do ask that you cancel before the 16th of the month in order for you not to be charged for the next month. See our Terms and Conditions for details. Is the free trial really free? Yes. The trial period gives you free access to our full membership and your card will only be charged if you continue to subscribe after the trial period has ended - which we hope you will! You can cancel your subscription at any point during the trial by going to "My Account" and clicking the "Cancel my subscription" link. How do I start my free trial? To activate your free trial simply enter your free trial code into the Promotion Code box on the Sign Up page and click "Enter". Then just register for your MCN-TV account as normal, entering your credit card via our payment partners MPP Global, though your credit / debit card will not be charged until the end of the trial period. After the trial you will be charged a standard membership at £3.99 per month. You can cancel your subscription at any point, during or after the trial. I live abroad, can access MCN-TV? MCN-TV is currently only available to UK based viewers at the moment. Feel free to ?like us? on Facebook and we'll let you know as soon as the service is available more widely.
New Subscribers I signed up but I didn't receive a welcome email? Please be patient as email traffic can sometimes take a few minutes to get through. If it doesn't arrive check your spam filter; emails sometimes end up in there, and if not there contact us support@screenlibrary.com. You should also add system@screenlibrary.com to your safe senders list (see below). How do I add system@screenlibrary.com to my safe senders list? Internet service providers, e-mail services and IT departments all work hard to protect you from spam, yet this means that sometimes the e-mails that you actually want get lost too. Put system@screenlibrary.com in your 'safe sender' list or identify it in your spam box as "not spam". You may also want to put the domain Screenlibrary.com in the list. What other steps should I take to ensure I receive important Screen Library emails? If you have anti-spam software running on your machine such as Norton or Spam Assassin add our e-mail address system@screenlibrary.com and our domain Screenlibrary.com to the safe sender list. If you are at work the chances are your IT department is blocking some emails before they even get near your machine. Please advise your IT department to allow e-mails to come through to you from system@screenlibrary.com. This is called 'white-listing'. Can I change my email address, password or nickname? Yes you can. Go to My Account and you'll be able to edit any of your details. My card is about to expire - how do I update my details? Follow the link in My Account to "update my card details". We'll also email you if we can't take payment from your account so that you can quickly continue to access the best bike TV available.
Using the site What is My Friends? My Friends lets you see what your Facebook friends are watching on MCN-TV. If you?re stuck for ideas on what to watch this is a good way to make that decision. You can also all leave comments against any video you are all watching. Join in the fun by clicking the "Sign in with Facebook" link on the Home page. How do I use My TV? If you haven't got time to watch a programme right now but want to bookmark it for later, click the motorcycle wheel icon on any video thumbnail or the player and the video will be added to your "My TV" list. You can then go quickly to that tab and choose the next show you want to watch. How do I know what to watch next? There are a few ways to navigate the hundreds of hours of footage. Each month we?ll showcase a few featured shows we know you won?t want to miss. You can also see what's currently popular, what others are watching (including your friends on Facebook) or use the search box at the top of the page to find something that appeals. How do I leave a comment on a video? Click the Comment tab next to any video playing. You can then write your comment and click "Post". You can choose to 'time-code' your comment to a particular place in the film, and / or share your comment on Facebook by ticking the boxes next to the time code. What can I do if I think a comment is inappropriate? Next to the comment click the "Report" link and we will receive an email requesting us to look at the comment. If we agree that it is inappropriate we will remove the comment. I really like MCN-TV - how can I tell others about it or get the latest news from you? That's easy - click the "sign in with Facebook" button on the home page and your friends will be able to see what you are watching. You should also receive a monthly email from the MCN Editor with what's new and featured on the service. Enjoy!
